Where can I purchase a Charles Owen helmet?

How do I make sure I purchase the correct fitting helmet?
Visit your local retailer. They have professionally trained staff that will be able to assist in purchasing the correct size. See our guide on how to fit a riding helmet.
How do I clean my helmet?
Using helmet cleaner and deodoriser. Please see our guide on how to clean a riding helmet.
How do I store my helmet?
Helmets should be stored at ambient temperature out of direct sunlight. Do not subject the helmet to temperatures above 50c or below -20c.
After riding, if the helmet is damp the helmet should be left in a warm dry place overnight. Do not store in a plastic bag before it is dry.
When should I replace my helmet?
The recommended life span of a helmet is 3 to 5 years depending on frequency of use. Always replace your helmet should it take any impact.
Do I need to replace my helmet if I have had an accident?
Yes, once a helmet has been involved in an accident the safety has been compromised.

What should I do with my helmet after an accident?
We hope your recovery is going well. Any helmet subject to an impact should always be replaced. All subsequent blows may have reduced the protection which may be required in the next fall. This helmet is designed to absorb some of the energy of a blow by partial destruction of the shell or protective padding material or both. This damage may not be visible and therefore any helmet which suffers an impact should be discarded and replaced by a new one.
Remember to rest after a fall. If you suffered a concussion we recommend you do not ride again for at least 72 hours. Please fill in our Accident Report Form to contribute invaluable real-world accident data to our safety board which can be used to support industry safety standard improvements.
I have a query with my current helmet, who do I contact?
Your contract of sale lies with the retailer that the helmet was purchased from. In the first instance, we kindly ask that you reach out to the retailer directly as they will be able to best assist you.
