Keeping a body or back protector clean in-between rides will prevent odours and mould developing inside the garment, and ultimately prolong the life of your product.
Caring for your Body Protector (Kontor)
Your Body Protector should only be surface wiped with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, dry on a hanger away from sources of heat.

Zip Fastener
To maximise the life of your zip fastener please ensure that the side adjustments are loosened before you do up your zip. Failure to do this may result in it tearing
away from the fabric or damage to the zip end.
Storage
Preferably place on a hanger in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extremes of temperature, or lay flat. Avoid storing under heavy or sharp objects.
Temperature
The impact absorbing materials used in this garment are sensitive to temperature performing best between 5ºC-25ºC. If exposed to low temperatures the foam may become brittle. Before using, allow to return to the ambient temperature range when the
foam will regain its flexibility. Above 25ºC the foam will become soft and its performance may be reduced.
Inspection/Replacement
We recommend that you check your body protector regularly for WEAR AND TEAR. Damage to the impact absorbing materials may be apparent by reduced thickness or a change in feel. If in doubt replace your garment. In the event of a fall, where the garment has had a serious impact, it should be replaced. Under normal conditions we recommend that your Body Protector is replaced at least every 3 years.

Do not store it in a plastic bag before it is dry. This will reduce the risk of rusting the metal components. Mud is best left to dry and then brushed off.
