Charles Owen Returns as Sponsor of the 2014 Luhmühlen CCI4*

Tuesday 10th June 2014

Charles Owen is delighted to be returning as a major sponsor of the Luhmühlen CCI4*, the only CCI4* Germany. Riders from around the world are descending on this fabulous event next week and Charles Owen is thrilled to be a part of it.

“Thank you to Luhmühlen and the German equestrian community for welcoming Charles Owen to your tremendous event,” said Roy Burek, Managing Director of Charles Owen. “Luhmühlen is the top of the eventing sport in Germany, and I truly enjoy the partnership that we have developed. Good luck to all of the competitors this week and please be sure to stop by and visit Charles Owen in the vendor area.”

The CCI4* horse and rider combinations will tackle the Charles Owen Royal Works, combination 21abc on Captain Mark Phillips’ Cross-country course. Royal Works is the site of the Charles Owen manufacturing facility, so the complex brings a bit of Britain into Germany. Charles Owen believes strongly in its British roots and is proud to retain all manufacture of its products start to finish in its’ Wrexham factory. The company is especially proud to hold the Royal Warrant as protective headgear supplier to the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II awarded the honour to Charles Owen in 1984.

Charles Owen will be providing helmets and body protectors for all of the pony outriders on the cross-country course. The outriders collect the scores and help direct traffic and will do so in safety and style wearing their Charles Owen Pro II helmets and Kontakt 5 body protectors.

A Charles Owen helmet and body protector of their choice will also be awarded to the top placing German rider in the CCI4*
