Charles Owen Previews Two New Products at the 2013 AETA Trade Show

Tuesday 27th August 2013

Continuing with its tradition of innovation, Charles Owen introduced two new products to the marketplace at the American Equestrian Trade Show on August 16-18 in Oaks, Pennsylvania. The new helmets feature the latest in technology and design, but still give a nod to tradition with their elegance and sophistication.

The H2000, long viewed as one of the most beautiful of the Charles Owen helmets sold in Britain, will be available this fall in the U.S. Charles Owen is excited to release this versatile helmet that offers a smart and traditional appearance, yet still provides the safety and protection a rider requires.

The classic profile of the H2000 is covered with a luxurious thick pile Italian velvet. The inside is fitted with a super soft headband, while the adjustable tan harness ensures a perfect fit. The H2000 is available in sizes 6 5/8 to 7 1/2 and is Kitemarked to PAS015:2011 and BSEN1384 and certified by SEI to ASTM F1163. The helmet is stocked in black, but is also available in brown, green, navy, and grey.

"I am delighted to be introducing the H2000 to the U.S. market," said Charles Owen Managing Director, Roy Burek. "I believe the riders will be impressed with the beauty and comfort of the H2000, and it is the perfect helmet for equestrians wanting to stay true to traditional appearances."

Charles Owen also gave AETA attendees a sneak peek at its newest helmet, the V8. The V8 encompasses all of the latest Charles Owen technology to create the coolest helmet possible. Featuring the new Charles Owen "Free Fit" system which allows for increased airflow across the forehead, the V8 combines a frontal air channel with a Coolmax® mesh which significantly increases cooling and evaporation of sweat. The outside of the V8 is covered in a smooth mesh for a sleek and updated look.

The most unique feature of the new V8 helmet is the removable headband liner, which is machine washable. By removing and washing the headband liner, the V8 will stay odor-free and feeling fresh. This is the first Charles Owen helmet in the U.S. that includes this distinctive quality.

"Designing the V8 was very exciting," said Roy Burek. "I am delighted to be able to create a helmet that provides the utmost in coolness and comfort while still protecting riders to the highest safety standards."
