International showjumper

Harry is the son of Olympic gold medallist Peter Charles MBE. His two sisters are also talented young riders, and his family is a formidable force on the showjumping circuit.

However, Harry is forging his own path and proving he is more than just a chip off the old block. In fact, he beat his dad when he was just 16 years old, winning the Welsh Masters and heading into the history books as the youngest rider to win this prestigious title.

He went on to defend his title the following year, riding the relatively inexperienced eight-year-old Valkiry de Zance.

Harry has also won an incredible six European championship medals – all with the very special Vivaldi du Dom. The pair won team bronze and individual silver in 2015, team and individual silver in 2017 and then did the double in 2018, winning both team and individual gold. To top it all, he won the individual title on his 19th birthday!

Just weeks later Harry made his five-star senior debut at Aachen, one of the world’s most prestigious showjumping competitions. He then went on to jump a double clear for Team GB in his first Nations Cup and played a crucial role in the Miami Celtics team on the Global Champions Tour. It was a busy year!

Still only 21, Harry is destined for great things and hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps and compete at the Olympics one day.
