Todd Minikus started riding western at age six, but after his family made a serendipitous move, he found himself living next door to a jumping barn. That introduction to show jumping at age 10 has since blossomed into a successful international career.

He began riding professionally in 1980 and competed in his first grand prix in 1985. The horse that put him on the map was Thrilling, a Canadian Thoroughbred. Together, Todd and Thrilling recorded four grand prix wins in 1989 and then swept all of the open jumper classes at the prestigious Washington International Horse Show, including the President’s Cup, the next year.

He has since had wins at top competitions across the U.S. and in Europe with his string of talented horses. Todd is based in Wellington, Florida, year round with his wife, Amanda, and children, Colt and Langley. He enjoys any and all outdoor sports in his free time.
