International Four-Star Event Rider

Sandra Auffarth is a German four-star event rider and show jumper. She grew up at her family farm, Stal Auffarth, where her parents Karl-Heniz and Barbel Auffarth have bred sporthorses for more than 30 years.

Sandra began riding her famous partner, world champion Selle Francais Opgun Louvo, when he was five. The formidable pair won team gold and individual silver medals at the FEI European Championships in 2011 and have since been fixtures on the German squad. In 2012, they won team gold and individual bronze medals at the London Olympic Games. Sandra announced her decision to retire “Wolle” in 2018.

Sandra is currently based at Stal Auffarth in Ganderkesee where she is focused on training the next generation of upper level event horses and continuing to represent Germany internationally.
