Feedback given from a pony racer!(17th October 2005) :
"I would like to thank you for the APM hat I received for winning the pony race in worcester. The hat is fantastic and I am the envy of all my friends, this is one of the items on their Christmas list. Highly recommended by myself. Thank you again!."

Tom Halliday Memorial Scholarship
Market Rasen Racecourse is using the high profile Blue Square Equinox race meeting this saturday 24 September to announce the winner of the inagural Tom Halliday Memorial Scholarship.
The Scholarship celebrates the life of Tom Halliday, the young and promising jockey, who tragically lost his life following a fall at Market Rasen on 3rd july. It will be an annual award and from 2006 the winner will be announced in early July - in association with a race named in Tom's memory.
The winner will not only receive a helping hand with the kit crucial to the life of a jockey with the generous support of Alan Webb - a jockey's valet who also makes saddles, and CharlesOwen - manufacturers of skull caps and body protectors, but also specialist coaching and tutition with the Northern Racing College. Market Rasen Racecourse has been key to the development of the award, and there have also been generous donations from members of the public.
Pip Adams, Managing Director of Market Rasen Racecourse said:" We felt that this was a fitting way to remember Tom, and that giving a promising young jockey a 'leg-up' was very appropriate. The winner has been selected with the help of the Halliday family, and we hope that a real difference can be made with this award."
