Mentors: Steve Irwin

When Started Riding: at age 10

First horse/pony: Willy - show name "Will He Do It" - mountain welsh and part donkey

First Horse Show: St. Ives Horse Trial, where I fell off three times in XC. It took 18 minutes to finish the course because Willy kept running back to the trailer every time I fell off. I finished dead last with 386 penalty points.

Horse that taught me the most: My first 4 star horse, Flying Doctor. He taught me not to lean forward before take off, if he stopped I'd go over the front of him.

Favorite Equine partner: Brady Bunch

Motto: The pain of a hard workout saves the agony of defeat.

Advice to Aspiring Riders/Drivers: With out struggle, there is no progress

Greatest accomplishment: Winning the Adelaide 4* in 2003 on True Blue Toozac

Worst moment: breaking 7 ribs and my collar bone in 6 places in terrible fall at the Melborne Three Day Event while riding Starkey.

Worst injury: breaking my leg in nine places after a dressage fall in outback Australia, I had a 4 hour drive to the hospital and then was put in room with prisoner handcuffed to a bed

What other career would you have chosen?: professional gambler living in Las Vegas

Goals: to win every four star event in the world in one calendar year

I love my Charles Owen… JL9 body protector, ever since I've started using it I haven't had any injuries to date from a fall on cross country
